They first were present with a very confident persona yet authoritative. We are in charge if you are the teacher you need to be confident. They students responded very well to her teachings. Most listened and if they did not, she got them in line no problem by calling them out very indistinctly so it did not break of the flow at all. Dr. Whitcomb has shown her unbelievable musicianship skills numerous times over the semester, and they were really showed within the preschool. This builds off experience. Dr. Whitcomb has been doing this for years. Many times we have trouble audiating a pitch for a cue. She can almost pull the pitch out of thin air with the pitched cue. She may need help with piano sometimes, but for these preschool songs she knew them inside and out. The expressiveness of her teaching also is a big part of her musicianship. She never is not looking at her students without a smile. It makes for the best ability to keep the students engaged.
