In both “the laptop ate my attention span” by Abby Ellin and “ the fight for classroom attention: professor vs laptop” by Jeffrey Young both identify the problem as technology disrupting the classroom environment. The real question is whether it really distracts the students or is it being used as an excuse to remove technology from the classroom once and for all. In these two articles each has a point of view that can be identified, one point of view is that it does not distract the students at all and the other point of view argues that it does take away from the ability to pay attention from the learning environment. In Abby Ellin’s article she mostly states that the use of technology really doesn’t take the students attention from the classroom
