The Day Rue Had Not been Killed
I’m going to be expressing my thoughts about, how if Rue had survived the Hunger Games and was not killed. I’m going to explain what I believe occurred and what Rue did to survive and even win the seventy-fourth Hunger Games.
Katniss just found Rue caught in a net screaming out her name, she untied her and when she stood up Rue shoves Katniss out of the way and jumping out of the way herself, because she saw someone who threw a spear. It just missed them both, however Katniss quickly shot him in his chest. “That was too close” Rue said Katniss replied “That was the boy from district 1”. Furthermore, Rue and Katniss went back to the little camp and Katniss just told Rue, she blew up all of the careers food and every single bit is gone. Rue was so grateful that Katniss managed to blow up all of the food so now they would have to hunt.
Katniss and Rue and went up in a tree before bed because they didn’t want to risk the careers trying to kill them. The next day, just before they went to look for food, they heard an announcement saying “two tributes from the same district can win if they are the last two alive. Just before night, she climbed up a tree for safety and went to sleep. It was difficult for Rue to fall asleep because she was scared due to Katniss gone and without Katniss, Rue is physically small and could not defend herself one on one. The next day Rue searched and searched but there wasn’t any sight of Thresh. Until just before the sun went down, Rue heard footsteps. Fortunately for her, she was in a tree because it was almost time to go to sleep. She followed the crunches and snaps of leaves and sticks and so a big man walking.
