In this commercial ad they show the dog whining almost painfully at the door waiting for his owner to come home. This implies that it is bad to leave your dog, companion to suffer in sadness for a long length of time. This does not actually need to be stated aloud, as it is the main point of that part they are trying to put out there. The man later comes home saying that he is sorry to the dog and that he decided that he should not drive home the night before. By saying this it implies that it is better to leave your dog/companion waiting for one night rather than for forever. Although there was not a lot of speaking in this advertisement, they displayed words on the screen which took a powerful effect on the commercial. “For some, the waiting never ended,” which make the audience maybe lose a tear. This states that for some people out there, their loved one never came home. Their loved one died and the loved ones are left to just suffer from the pain of losing someone dear to their hearts. “Make it a plan to come home. Your friends are counting on you,” which clearly states that they want your goal to be to come home. This line creates the message that the ad wanted to convey to their audience by implying not to drink and drive.
