The term “fast food” is defined as food that can be prepared quickly and easily and is sold in restaurants and snack bars as a quick meal or to be taken out. Who knew something so convenient could cause such controversy. The blame could be put on the way advertisements lure customers into making unhealthy option. Junk food advertisements really have a huge impact on our health. Some seem to think that junk food ads heavily influence people to the point that it is the main cause for obesity and some life threatening illnesses. Just like everything, it has a purpose, and advertising is meant to inform and attract the consumer. As a Pastry Chef /future entrepreneur I know I’ll have to market my business. While making my market strategy I have to take in consideration how I want to advertise and who I want to target. In “Don’t Blame the Eater”, Zinczenko advocates that fast food companies market to kids without using health hazards and warning labels. I am sure ads without warning labels are not with the intent to harm people, but if you over consume process foods they will cause some health problem. As a consumer we need to take a stance and demand advertising make some changes. Banding advertisement for fast food is not an option in this day and time, especially in the media world. Companies spend billions for advertisement and to come up with new trends. A lot of fast food ads run their ads to not only to keep their business running, but other businesses as well. Advertisements are a proven success, so ads here to stay. So stop blaming the businesses and take some
