Selective Prosecution: Jonathan, Mr Sanusi & Buhari

Written By Sunday Njokede
Nigerians who rose up criticising Mr Jonathan Goodluck for selectively probing Mr Sanusi are the real McCoy. Therefore, clap for yourselves. And now, let us condemn president Buhari collectively. His policy-goal to single Jonathan out for prosecution makes no sense in Naira and kobo. It is low-politics and lowlife
For your information, Sanusi was onetime ace of Central Bank of Nigeria.
It is true that two worngs cant make a right. And rightly so, Jonathan was wrong to have done selective probe on Sanusi. And more so, the Devil is in the deatails in Mr Buhari's intention to do a lone probe on Jonathan. While, leaving OBJ and co. to their personal devices as sacred

To bless Buhari and curse Jonathan asunder for the same misdoing is unhelful. They both have inclination to selectively scapegoat their chosen enemies and make minced meat out of them. Such behaviour is primitive. It has nothing to do with the fight against corruption. It is all about settling old scores. Meanwhile, Sanusi was innocent. While Jonathan is neckdeep in corruption. But even so, that does mean he should be scapegoated by president Buhari. Selective probe is wrong. It is injustice personified. In selective probe, the rights of the probee is woundend wherefore other people who did the same thing are let loose. And more so, the prober exposes himself to various attacks and accusations including scapegoting, segregation and outright Apartheid.
For justice and fairness to prevail: the fight against corrupt in Nigeria should not only be all-embracing, it should be an all-comers matter as it should be all-comprising and all-inclisive from root to branch. Everyone who stole our money should be cashiered for their criminal wrongdoings accordingly. President Buhari should at no time show positive bais for some and not the others. Everyone is equal before the laws of our land. It amounts to injustice to zero in and cherrypick who should be probed or not. And as erstwhile US president J.F. Kennedy once said: injustice in a country is injustice everywhere. Everyone who did something

That is no longer hidden. The bone of contention is how to share the blame. Should both of them be quilty of the same misfit behaviour or, should we bless one and curse the other? Left for me, we should blast the twosome with an air of collectiveness with no absentee or descent recorded. You can call it utopia. That is okay by me. But one thing is sure. And that is, it is better to err on the side of caution than not.
Or, better still, we should always try to be abovebaord. So much so, to aviod repeatation of slaving for people in power. When Jonathan held sway, Reuben Abati plus Okupe and their co-people priased Jonathan for all the wrong reasons. All things were bright and beautiful, for Jonathan has made them well. No shaking! Nothing dey happen! That was how they carried on with so much braggadocio.
But, time has changed. Jonthan is now the one being meted selective justice. Rueben Abati and Okupe are no longer making us hover. Their time is

The book “Blue Blood” by Edward Conlon was a very well written book expressing his experiences as being a cop. I really liked this book although at times it was a little hard to follow because of its stories within stories, however it was very enjoyable. I loved how Edward was writing of his experiences while he was still working, for example a lot of people would just recollect their experiences but Edward was writing while it was happening. Which is much better for accuracy and detail of events.…

Nwoye serves as an example of a cultural collision having a beneficial effect, since becoming a Christian drastically improved Nwoye’s mental state and protected his physical health. Throughout the novel, Okonkwo regularly torments his son in order to fulfill his necessity for Nwoye to be absurdly masculine. Also dealing with his internal conflict between personal morality and gruesome cultural traditions, Nwoye was in desperate need of emotional resolutions. The arrival of Christianity in Umuofia provided Nwoye with an unfamiliar and benevolent spiritual figure, as well as a community with ethics similar to his own. In Things Fall Apart, author Chinua Achebe uses Nwoye’s character development to convey that a cultural collision may be able to positively alter one’s life.…

It’s 2016, and as the myriad of tensions grow and unfold, you know there’s a problem when Donald Trump of all people speaks the truth. Now let’s not get ahead of ourselves, shall we?…
