Analysis: Pokemon Go

Decent Essays
1. I play Pokemon Go, but I just play it once in a week. I do not really like to play this game since it is wasting my phone’s battery and making me not aware of my surroundings.
2. You can play the game, but you should be responsible enough not to cause chaos or harm to yourself or to the people around you. In addition, you should set a limited time for playing such type of games.
3. This hype makes peoples want to play it in their devices and everyone was talking about it in the media. I consider this game just be attractive for a while because technology is changing so quickly that no one can really predict what the future entertainment trends will be.

“Should Gamers Be Prosecuted For Virtual Stealing?” by Alex Weiss is an argumentative essay in which he calls out the criminal system for allegedly putting on trial a teenager for committing theft in a virtual game. Even though it was a very straightforward trial, it quickly turned heated when questioning whether or not it was correct to trial him. Also, more important, it makes us ask ourselves, are actions in a game a proof of a person’s ethical values and beliefs? Weiss states that putting someone on trial for virtual theft is not only incorrect but also dangerous. Just because someone committed a lot of crimes in a game, it means he will commit these crimes in the real life.…

The game has so many different aspects, I feel like it would take me months to figure it all out. I also do not fully understand the desire to build and sustain a fake empire in a fake universe. The game seems far too realistic. It reminded me of the stresses in real life. I want to play a game that helps me escape from the mundane aspects of adulthood.…

Ever since I can remember video games have always been my escape. On my ninth birthday I received my xbox 360 and since that day I have never look back. With my xbox I have made memories and friendships that will last life a life time. Although some believe things in life are either good or bad, it can be seen through Xbox that things are both good and bad, but it’s the proportion between good and bad that matters, this can be seen through new games, finishing games, and new systems that proves that a disproportionate amount of good versus bad creates good memories. With the Xbox there were many games that I have played that have taken me on hundreds of adventures.…

    Intelligent Disobedience

I appreciate your discussion on how speaking up versus waiting makes all the difference. In intelligent disobedience, I think that speaking up right away comes from deep inside and could even be referred to as our moral compass or conscience that does not let us stand aside. The longer we wait, the more stifled that voice becomes and over time that guide weakens and has the danger of giving up on us altogether. Like Chris pointed out in his post of a person sounding unsure or joking when trying to be impolite and thus not taken seriously, it can work in the acting versus waiting scenario. We need to listen to our moral compass’s initial impoliteness because it is powerful then quiets down as we brush it aside.…

Why have video games become a big success? Back in the early 1900s, people didn’t have video games, they had simple games such as checker and chess. These two games are still widely played, but when computers and televisions started becoming a normal necessity, virtual games became more apparent. The concept of video games started with the first computer game. This game was a version of tic-tac-toe, created in 1952 by A.S. Douglas, a Cambridge university doctoral student (Hile)…
