Analysis On Why College Athletes Should Not Be Paid

College athletes should not be paid. They are not professionals so they don't need to be treated like one and get paid. Some of the reasons I think they should not be paid are, unfair compensation between players, financial irresponsibility, and they have foundations in college. Will each player be paid the same amount? Can players even use their money wisely? I think that if they were to get paid, there wouldn’t be a fair way to play the players the same amount. If a player were to score or get better stats they will probably get paid more than the people that don’t play as much. Paying players different amounts would make many of the players upset and they wouldn’t have passion for the game anymore. Colleges wouldn’t have enough money to pay the coaches, teachers/professors, and players the same amount or more. Along with the college not being able to pay the players and faculty they also wouldn't be able to get the four star recruit players that they want. College athletes should not be paid because they are not pro athletes. This can be a big issue since people in college and the younger generation do not know how to correctly spend their money. Financial irresponsibility can lead to large problems in their career. They wouldn’t have to deal with financial problems is they were to use they stuff that the college gives them. If the college were to pay players they would probably pay the players that do better so they stay longer.
