Donald Trump Evil or Idiotic?
Our president Donald Trump has many reasons for people to have animosity towards him. He uses his power for bad and not the good and also uses social media, and press conferences as an outlet to mock and criticize people and countries left and right. One social media outlet he has used is Twitter, a website where you can express your feelings freely without it being a formal way of addressing any situations. He also uses formal press conferences to divulge personal information about his colleagues, former presidents, and former candidates for the presidential election. With all these outlets, it is causing him to make rash decisions that can be serious decisions. Although trump has innumerable reasons that people

It is designed to be able to express your feelings without getting a lot of mean comments back. Specifically, twitter has been an outlet for trump to humiliate many celebrities, leaders of countries and former president of the United States and his counterparts. Trump wrote on twitter “The greatest influence over our election was the Fake News Media "screaming" for Crooked Hillary Clinton. Next, she was a bad candidate” (Twitter, 22 Sept. 2017)! A question that comes to mind is that, why is Hillary Clinton Crooked? Why does President Trump feel the need to go on Twitter to basically bully other politicians? Yes, she may have hidden some emails from the government in the past but that doesn’t mean she is a dishonest human being. Another post Donald Trump put out there was that “Two dozen NFL players continue to kneel during the National Anthem, showing total disrespect to our Flag & Country. No leadership in NFL” (Twitter, 23 Oct. 2017)! First of all, he has way bigger problems to worry about than irrelevant people kneeling for the national anthem. There have been many sources to reveal that they aren’t disrespecting the flag. They are in fact kneeling for loved ones who cannot stand during the flag, they are kneeling for the ones whose lives have been lost and so many more reasons. They don’t disrespect our country they just in fact support our country as much as the guys standing next to …show more content…
President Donald Trump uses press conferences to unmask everything about everyone. With this it is causing people to hate on him even more. Furthermore, the president focused more on what the NFL was doing regarding the players kneeling for the national anthem than what was currently happening in Las Vegas Nevada. As we all know what happened in Las Vegas was very traumatic. Trump explains in a CNN article at a press conference that he “wasn’t” preoccupied with the NFL. But on twitter there leads to be many tweets about the NFL and the players not respecting our country and there was only about a handful of tweets about the Las Vegas shooting that happened in early October. At a press conference at the white house Donald trump states that the NFL disrespecting the flag is a “very important situation” (CNN). Trump has also has defended his friend Robert Kraft, Owner of the New England Patriots, as he made a decision to join the other teams and to kneel during the national anthem. Trump states that “I like Bob very much. He’s my friend. He gave me a Super Bowl ring a month ago. So, he’s a good friend of mine and I want him to do what he wants to do” (Donald Trump, Las Vegas Review

Politically we live in a quite polarizing time. Between the two viable presidential candidates and an equal amount of dissatisfaction of those candidates on both sides, the fate of this country is seemingly up in the air. Though the election holds a discernable amount of media coverage and attention of the public every term the media coverage of this particular election has been dominated by the hateful rhetoric and call to violence of a particular candidate. The candidate calling for this violence is Donald Trump, he on multiple occasions has called for violence against protesters telling his audience how he would like to see them “punched or maimed”. Encouraging his supporters to do so by promising to cover their legal fees if they get arrested…

In Status Update, Marwick states “Status is a powerful tool that reveals the values and assumptions shared by a group; it shows power dynamics and the limits of egalitarian ideals.” President Trump has become “Twitter-armed”, he has so much power and influence towards many big parties that one of his tweets can possibly start a war. Many Twitter users have raised questions such as why POTUS Twitter account hasn't been deactivated since he has broken some rules such as sent threats, harassed others, and encourages illegal activities. But, because he is the POTUS and if they shut him down, the American people will be left in the dark. The saddest part of every scandal that Donald Trump is involved with is that none of his sexist, racist, or selfish comments can even come close to surprising the public (Gilmore). At the start of Trump’s campaign, he insensitively stereotyped undocumented immigrants, calling them “rapists” (Westfall, et al.). When Trump talks on foreign policy, he threatens the very safety of the United States (Westfall, et al.). He has even gone so far as to praise Russian president Vladimir Putin while denouncing President Obama (Gilmore). The relationship between the media and the president has evolved throughout American history. The Framers of the Constitution intended for there to not be a relationship between the presidency and the press because of fear of the rise of a demagogue, now the modern president and media share a symbiotic relationship. Many believe that the media objectively reports news and informs the people about the presidency. This couldn’t be further from the truth, today the media has lost its credibility because it reports news subjectively to serve its own interest. While there are many benefits, the current relationship between the media and the president is harmful to the American people.…
