Love is an intense feeling an aspect in everyone’s life, but what is it? Where is it? These are two questions that have often been asked, and have been asked in the song Where is the Love? by The Black-Eyed Peas.
An American hip hop group called The Black-Eyed Peas have always showcased music that has been firmly been rooted hip-hop, but they also have discovered interests in other musical forms as well. When the listener first listens to “Where is the Love?” the listeners do not grasp the whole idea of the song, this video was set out for the purpose of awareness and to spread the message of love. Although The Black- Eyed Peas uphold love as the main hope for straightening out the world, they question if such love as this could even be found in the world during that time. The Black- Eyed Peas, in their music video “Where is the Love?”, portrays the message of love, and question its existence.
