This quote is from one of Robert Cormier’s books,We All Fall Down, it is the aftermath of all that had occurred throughout his book. Afterward, she is left broken and emotionless, a common theme for his endings, although there was a reason for this. This reasoning was his use of extremes. Throughout the four of Robert Cormier's Books, he clearly used extremes to add drama, these unnecessary tragedies caused his books to end in harsh unpredictable ways.
