"War keeps a nation from 'getting soft ' " The following is a quote from the book War Is a Force That Gives Us Meaning by Chris Hedges. Once Hitler succeeded in restoring power to Germany Hitler, became corrupt attempting to gain even more power to Germany, and prove that you can’t keep Germany down; and to show this Hitler began breaking the rules set by the Treaty of Versailles resulting in the start of World War II. To prepare the Germans for the war, Hitler gave his “declaring war speech” inspiring the Germans by saying "I am at the head of the strongest Army in the world, the most gigantic Air Force and of a proud Navy. We are fighting to save the whole world from the pestilence of Nazi tyranny and in defense of all that is most sacred to man.
