Two Worlds, One Home It was on August 11, 2015 when I arrived at San Francisco International Airport. It was the day where I started my “New Chapter” in my life. I moved to the United States of America from Indonesia for a reason, which is a better education. I had been debating with my parents about it before decided to study abroad to the United States of America. Before, I insisted that I want to get my degrees in a local University in my hometown. In the other hand, my parents believe that there are so many pros from learning outside from our country, such as: better knowledge, language, relation, and so on. On that day, after all of the family discussion I had finally made up my mind to agree on study overseas. Little did I know that I would have a big transition between the two worlds. Weather, food, and people are the most main difference that I found during my time in adaptation to my new environment. In fact, It took a quite long time to passed its alteration. The weather was really cold on that night. It was summer season, but it was still a cool night for an Indonesia people like me, though. Later, my Aunt came to pick me up. I was just woke up in the morning and did my morning routine, browsing. From deep down in the bottom of my heart, I felt really sad when I saw a video of my family’s party on my snapchat story. Everyone from my family is there and they are all had so much fun, except me. I am in the other side of the world, watching them reunion from my iPhone screen. At that time, I knew that United States is yet become my new home. I knew I was really far from my real home, Indonesia. I, then, realized in that moment that home is not a place that you are living now, but a place where you feel comfortable, and relaxed. those two things, I have not found it in the United States of America, even that it is a really great country with best
