Reflection On Tuckman's Stages Of Group Development

The Tuckman 's stages of group development are all necessary and inevitable in order for the team to grow, to face up to challenges, to tackle problems, to find solutions, to plan work, and to deliver results. During the forming stage, my team members are positive and polite. I was anxious, as I didn’t fully understood what work the team was supposed to do. Hope played a dominant role at this stage, because she made the team members ' roles and responsibilities very clear and she had extensive knowledge about the food pantry. Next, we moved into the storming stage that starts where there is a conflict between team members ' natural working styles. We all showed up for meetings and we did the task that were assigned. We were respectful and polite to each other and open-minded to other opinions. The norms also allowed us to perform well together with minimum conflict and maximum conflict resolution. The norms included behaviors we were expected to avoid. We were expected not to putt another group member down and being rude/ mean. Not to be on time without good explanation. Not doing your own work. Not being accepting of a member 's ideas. Hope and Markie were heavily involved, as they had the leadership role. They had he ENTJ personality. They focused on the most efficient and organized means of performing a task. Their quality, along with their goal orientation, made them effective leaders, with the ability to implement a long-term plan. They were every logical and rational. Nella personality is an ISTJ. She is a responsible organizers. She’s very neat and orderly, and tend to have a procedure for everything she does. Marisa has an ISFJ personality. She was steadfast in handling responsibilities.
