Uncle Tom's Cabin Critique

The book I read was Tom Uncle’s Cabin. It was a very interesting sad book. The book was about slavery back then in 1852. This book agrees with how I see the view of the world. For the fact that this world big, but it’s small because you find people that you never met before and now you see them and realize they one of your family member. About reuniting with your family heritage. Everything happens for a reason. I can compare so many things and relate to this book. For example in Uncle Tom 's Cabin, the main person who sell Tom because he was in debt, he came back and did background research. Not only that but he did uncle tom 's cabin funeral. Her name is Harriet Beecher Stowe, she was a white woman who was born on June 14, 1811, Litchfield, CT and she died on July 1, 1896, Hartford, CT. She died at age eighty-five, which to me is a good age to die. The best thing about what she did her whole life was to write so many good books. The total of books that she wrote was over thirty books. The most famous or popular one was Uncle Tom’s Cabin. When she was younger she went to Pierce Academy to be schooled. Her husband was Calvin Ellis Stowe, he was a professor at Lane. They got married in 1836 and in thirteen years laters, she lost her son. It kind of made her separate her husband for a while, last time I researched. Something interesting about her that she grew up to be a minister because her dad was a Lyman Beecher and her mom was Roxanna Foote Beecher, who died when she was younger. Harriet had twelve siblings, seven brothers, and five sisters. She was an agonist and she had a strong belief in abolition. She was very interested in stuff like that and she was religious. Now that I am thinking about it, one of the characters in Uncle Tom 's Cabin, haves her personality. For example, the character is Mrs.Shelby, because she was against slavery and was very Christian. Not only that but she believed that white owners she should be able to trust slaves. Also, her book did a major impact during the time, because it leads other people to see the different for slaves then what they taught before. People think she was the one who lead this war, but her points were to help out those slaves and need. Therefore, that Harriet Beecher Stowe background information and her life event.
