Greg Mortenson may have lied , but can we forgive him? In the memoir Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson he claims that he built one school in 3 years, and then built three school in three months. “At the end of the book, I took three trips up to northern Afghanistan, over about a year and a half. Those were synthesized into one trip.”(Page 2) this shows that Mortenson did mess up some dates in his memoir and he admits to it. Mortenson is not a bad man, he started out with good intentions like building schools and raising awareness for poor kids in Pakistan. He simply went overboard and got the luxurious items like, private jets, book tours and all the best for himself. Even though, along the way he did not make the best choices such as, stealing
