The Character Thomas goes on an meaning full trip to Arizona and seeking more understandind and closure for Victor’s father tragic death. Thomas is a story teller that no one in his reservation wants to listen to. Victor is in desperation to retrieve his fathers ashes and takes advantage of the oppurtunity and offers to help as long as he can come along. Throughout the rest of the story, Thomas and Victor learn things about one another and understand why they act the way they do. Thomas deep thought and story telling causes him to become an outsider, a loner until victor comes along.
