Is the survival of a person depended on the death of somebody else’s? In the story This Way for the Gas, Ladies and Gentlemen by Tadeusz Borowski, it recounts the struggles Tadek faced when unloading the wagons of the train. Tadek was severely dramatized by how he and other prisoners were threating the camp arrivals. Which leads to the question, what led to Tadek and other prisoners to be in that situation where they needed to compromise with their moral beliefs?
