The summary measures are: Relationships with Teachers, School Culture, Rigor of Classes and Instruction Preparedness for the Future, Student Engagement, and Relationships with Peers. To identify these summary measures, YouthTruth uses the maximum likelihood factor analysis to analyze the underlying patterns in the data. The feedback, though poor, gives a baseline for results moving forward. What should also be taken into consideration are the other schools taking the survey. By comparison, only half the schools taking the survey are traditional schools similar to Ranchview. Of those that are traditional, and not charter or private, many of the schools only tested students in specialized programs like STEM. However, much can be gained by comparing Ranchview to these schools and letting students, teachers, counselors, and administrators review the results. The purpose of this survey was not to place a grade on Ranchview and the job it is doing preparing students for life after graduation. The purpose was to receive real feedback, from real students so that personnel on the campus can ask questions about what the data says and how to move
