When all of this injustice was going on Claire could not do anything to protect herself, she had no power. Now that Claire has this power she can buy her own justice system. This shows that Claire can purchase something as valuable as life, proving that her wealth is capable of altering the justice system, because if she cannot buy justice, she will at least buy the justice system. This leaves the audience very perplexed and conflicted feeling, trying to decide between what is right, leaving all in a dilemma.
