This is because they allowed their kids to always be on technology allowing them to get addicted. According to Healthy Children’s Website, their research shows, “4 of 5 households (families) own a device used to play video games,” they also said, “media can influence how children and teens feel, learn, think, and behave.” From the children using the technology so much it affected how they behaved. Causing them to get mad at their parents for telling them to get off the technology.
Also, according to, Pew Research Center’s Website statistics stated,”Only 16% of parents used parental controls to restrict their teen's technology use.” And as claimed by, Tech Advisor’s Website, it states, ” In 2013 the US Department of Health recommended that children under two years of age should not be in front of a screen at all, and over that age, the maximum leisure screen time should be no more than two hours a day.” From what it says in the veldt story the children are always on some sort of technology, they never take
