He served as the greatest mentor of the first president of the Republic of the Philippines who is non-other than Emilio Aguinaldo. With this, people called him as the “brains of the revolution”. During the time of his service to Emilio Aguinaldo, Mabini wrote the outline of the constitution of the Philippine republic together with one of his greatest masterpiece entitled, “The True Decalogue”. During the Philippine revolution, Apolinario Mabini used his all to fight for the independence of thy country. In fact, in April 1898, Mabini made a manifesto on the Spanish-American War. Here, he is warning the other Philippine revolutionary leaders that Spain would probably give the Philippines to the United States if it will lose the war. Through this, Apolinario Mabini encouraged all the revolutionary leaders to continue the fight for Philippine independence. Aside from this, when Mabini was finally chosen as the adviser of Emilio Aguinaldo, he encouraged the first president of the Philippine republic to establish a revolutionary government with assembly rather than a dictatorship.
