After thinking, Eagles decided to focus on country rock and hard rock. In 1972, Eagles finished the recording of the eponymous debut album Eagles in England. Absolutely, “Hotel California”, which fits the image of rock of Eagles, can be considered as the most successful piece of Eagles’ famous representative works in its whole period. The song was written by Felder, Henley, and Frey, with Felder writing all the music. The features of the song are its strange melody and the lyric reflecting social phenomenon.
About instruments, as what I heard, the instruments present are vocals, guitars, drums. Several guitars including electric guitars appeared in this song, but I cannot make sure the number and the types of them.
About recording, there is no reverb appearing in this song, but it did not make this song very clear due to too loud instruments. Compared with the instruments’ sounds, human voices did not outstand.
