1-2: What does BYOD refer to and what are the implications of this phenomenon? [LO-4] BYOD is an acronym that stands for Bring Your Own Device. Many employees are wanting to use their personal smartphones to access company networks, however, smartphones do not have the proper security to protect the company networks.

[LO-3] From reading the eights steps of the basic communication model I now understand that communication amongst people is very similar to technological communication in computer programing. There has to be an idea that must be submitted and encoded into a message, and that message can be sent in various forms through many different channels. Furthermore, if the message isn’t clear then there won’t be a proper response. This understanding conduct business more effectively because I know not only to consider the appropriateness of the message that I’m sending but to also evaluate the most appropriate channel of communication.
1-8: What Changes would you make to your email messages if you know your recipients are typically walking or riding on mass transit when they read your messages? [LO-4] If I know the recipients of my emails typically rode mass transit or walked while they read my messages I would make sure that my messages were short and concise and I would also make sure that my subject was
