I will also talk about the laws, as well as procedures that deal with the victim 's rights as well as their protection. I will talk about the O.J Simpson case and what can be similar to this one. When the police notified O.J Simpson of the death he didn 't ask no questions. The police interviewed Simpson only to get enough evidence to charge him with the murders. Simpson was supposed to turn himself in after the funeral but instead he decided to run. Simpson left a suicide note and led the police on a slow chase. A person driving saw O.J Simpson driving and called the authorities. O.J Simpson was in a white Bronco that belonged to his friend. When they finally caught Simpson he had money worth $8,750, beard and mustache that was fake, and his friend Crowling passport. There were about 72 individuals that were witnesses in the O.J Simpson trial. Some of the witnesses said that he had a motive as well as the opportunity to kill. Simpson had a history of domestic abuse. Denise ( Nicole 's sister ) recalls O.J Simpson looking like a madman during a recital. There was a law passed to stop abusers from being able to get a gun ( Alter, 2014 ). If you are attacked by someone in any way weather it be sexual, domestic, or stalking you should call 9-1-1. If it 's at a college contact the Coordinator. If you think your Civil Rights have been violated than you need to contact the office. When any kind of sexual violence happens it 's critical that if and when you get attacked that you hurry and report it. Sexual violence is physical sex that you don 't want to happen. Dating violence can be physical, threatening, or intimidating an individual. Stalking is following an individual without their knowledge. You are violating their space and privacy by following them. A person that gets abused can end up suffering from physical, mental, as well as financial harm due to the injuries that they sustained while being the relationship. A person that suffered injuries due to their lover has the right to get protection so that it doesn 't happen again. Whatever an individual needs that has been battered, the state should give it to them.
