The non-profit organization founded by volunteers from the Confederation (NAMI Texas) in 1984. NAMI Texas to the Texas mental illness is affiliated with the Confederation (NAMI) for mental illness and has 27 regional alliances across Texas. NAMI Texas has nearly 2,000 members comprised of mental illness, family members, friends and individuals living expert. Its purpose is to help improve the lives of people affected by mental illness through education, support and advocacy. NAMI mental illness to address the mental health needs of Texas, family, friends, professionals, and other interested variety of education and support program for individuals living with stakeholders, and the community. NAMI Texas works through all means of communication
