Analysis Of The Movie Pele

Improved Essays
The most important message in the movie Pele is to never give up and be determined no matter what resistance you face. The main camera angle is a mid shot and low angle they are frequently used because they highlight pele’s life of poverty and the fact that he never gives up, his sheer persistence is the key to his success. An example of the low angle camera technique is when pele does his bicycle kick this make him look important and talented.and the mid shot shows extreme focus it also tells that something important is going to happen an example of his focus is when everyone is laughing at him and he focuses on the game instead of paying attention to the people laughing.

The director often uses close up it is also an effective way to show

The film Hearts and Minds is a documentary made by Peter Davis in 1974 to portray America’s unethical involvement in Vietnam and examine the opinions of many by showing interviews and vivid footages. The film focuses more on those who were against the war than those who supported it. For the U.S. all that mattered was the victory. However, those who were opposed to the war felt that there was no right or reasonable justification for their actions. The real issue illustrated by the film was whether the U.S. wanted to protect the country from communism or to manifest its greatest power in the world by winning another war.…

In this movie, a gang of outcasts from the north side of town called the Greasers are always fighting against a rival group called the Socials, who are the rich jocks from the south side of town. The story follows two young Greasers, Johnny and Ponyboy, who aren’t like the others. These two see that fighting is pointless, but it’s just the way they live their life. The two boys get into a fight with some Socials and end up killing one.…

The main purpose of a film about our sixteenth President Abraham Lincoln is to paint him in a light that shows him in either of two ways: the savior of the Union or the ‘Great Emancipator.’ Lincoln is regarded as our greatest President, alongside George Washington; while much is known of Lincoln, people still crave to see the ‘true’ Lincoln, distilled in all his brevity and modesty. Lincoln in its twenty-first century special effects and bold-forced acting showed us with great pride the grandeur of the Lincoln fantasy, however did it represent the true events it depicted? The film was based in large part on Doris Kearns Goodwin’s biography of Lincoln and cabinet, titled “Team of Rivals” published in 2005. In part the book conveyed Lincoln’s…

This documentary, Educating Peter, followed a special needs boy with Down Syndrome named Peter into a third-grade classroom at a public school. Peter was enrolled in a traditional school because federal law stated that children with special needs must be educated with regularly developing students in traditional schools. Originally, Peter was in a special needs school with autistic/special needs students. In the beginning when I first started watching this film I had mixed thoughts. In my personal opinion I didn’t understand why at the expense of other students who are forced to deal with Peter's unpredictability, or that Mrs. Stallings must spend extra time with Peter--not on academics, but simply trying to integrate him into the classroom…

The Divine Plan The Passion of the Christ, a Hollywood portrayal of the judgement and crucifixion of Jesus Christ, brings to life the Gospel’s narration of the most important day of mankind. This paper will demonstrate that although the movie’s depiction slanted towards a bias of the Jewish people being against Jesus, the Sanhedrin were not representatives of the sediment of the Jews. It will also show that Pontius Pilate, a man of consciousness, was ultimately used as a pawn by God to carry out the inevitable death of Jesus. Finally, this paper will demonstrate that the death of Jesus was not a result of the Sanhedrin or Pontius Pilot, but rather the inevitable result of the sins of man.…

Pedro Almodovar’s twentieth feature film, Julieta, chronicles the title character’s life as she is forced to reflect upon her riddled past and confront the tragic circumstances that surround the disappearance of her daughter. Almodovar based Julieta off of a series of short stories written by Nobel Prize winning author Alice Munro, which follow three stages of a Canadian woman’s life who faces similar circumstances. At it’s conception, Julieta was intended to be Almodovar 's first English-language film; however Almodovar was not confident writing the script in English and settled on setting the film in Spain and making it in Spanish. The New York Film Festival was the film’s American debut and both leading actresses as well as Almodovar were present for the occasion. Julieta relates to the trends identified in global art cinema by displaying symbolic and ambiguous aesthetics, depending on festival circuits rather than studio distribution, and employing…
