Living on One Dollar is a very deep, sensational movie that shows the life and living conditions of some families in a small town of Peña Blanca in Guatemala. Four boys, Chris Temple, Zach Ingrasci, Ryan Christofferson, and Sean Leonard, who have all had relatively good upbringings decide they want to travel to rural Guatemala (for 2 months) and experience what everyone else there is experiencing. Chris and Zach are economic majors which is another reason they wanted to visit because they wanted to see how these people budget and use this limited amount of money.
