Inside Out is a film that is about one main character, Riley. The film shows us how from the time of Riley’s birth until eleven years of age, how her emotions change as the older she gets. The first emotion that Riley is born with is Joy. Joy is always happy, and looks to the brighter side of anything negative. Next came sadness. Sadness seems to always look down on everything, or finds the negative in everything. Fear was third to arrive. He gave Riley a sense of caution in times of danger and a basically was her sense of reason when it came to doing bad things. Disgust is fourth to make an appearance. Metaphysics is shown throughout the movie in Riley’s development through the years. At first, when she is born her emotions are either joy or sadness. As she gets older, fear, disgust and anger come into her field of emotions. Up until the age of eleven, Riley shows one emotion at a time. Either she is Joyful or Sad, Frightened or Angry. But it is when her parents move her to a new city that her emotions become more interactive and Joy finally realizes that one emotion doesn’t have to be in control at one time, that they can be simultaneously felt together. We all have emotions and it is a way we can think, see, etc. This movie goes far and beyond that we need to pay attention and to help others with some emotions like Sadness, and to give great feedback when someone is very joyful. That way when we feel in a certain way we can get help or make that person next us motivated, cheerful, or when they are sad to find out if there is a way to cheer that person up. It may take time to do that with someone put if the effort is there than anything is possible.
