From movies like Black Hawk Down, Pearl Harbor, and Tora, Tora, Tora it is hard not to get caught up in the emotions of the movies being based off a true story. Black Hawk Down is a movie about how the United States (U.S.) trying to help Somalia end hunger problems because a leader of a militia is controlling the food and water. The U.S. goes into Somalia ill prepared and suffers many casualties and losses. According to Kuzmarov only eighteen Americans died during this mission. Kusmarov also states that the movie, Black Hawk Down, failed to mention that before this mission helicopter gunners fired into large crowds of people, mostly women and children. A poor portrayal of historical events such as World War One, World War Two, and the Vietnam War. The people who fought in those wars, the men and women serving the countries across the globe for their militaries at least deserve the respect of having an accurate film about a war. Not only that several teachers show films to help students learn and see what happened. If the movie isn’t accurate and the teacher didn’t know about it and let the students watch it, they would be filled with inaccurate information potentially hindering them in the
