ACT I
1. INT. NBC EXECUTIVE BOARD ROOM – DAY
Has-been game show host Alex Trebek pitches his new “Big Brother-esque” reality show about talking gorillas at the Echo Park Zoo to NBC execs. They are not interested, but Alex guilt trips the Head of Programming, who gives Alex twenty-four hours to film a pilot and refuses to help if anything goes wrong.

2. EXT. NBC PARKING LOT – DAY
Rita stands outside by the van, waiting for Alex. Surprised by the green light and doubtful of their success, she starts up the van.

3. EXT. ECHO ZOO PARKING LOT – DAY
The van pulls up by the back entrance of the zoo. Alex waits in the back, putting on his gorilla costume. Rita talks with the employee at the gate. He informs her that they ordered a giraffe, not a gorilla. Due to this typo in the zoo’s newsletter, Alex abandons his high-tech gorilla suit, and slip into a giraffe outfit used for the birthday parties he hosts for part-time work.

ACT II
4. EXT. GIRAFFFE EXHIBIT – DAY
Rita brings Alex into the giraffe pen and sets up the camera on a tripod behind the fence. The star of Echo Zoo, Jessie the Giraffe, jaunts out of her den and greets the crowd. She goads Alex into following her into the den.

INT. GIRAFFE EXHIBIT – JESSIE’S DEN – DAY
Jessie the Giraffe angrily questions Alex as to why he’s here and orders him to stay inside the den while she performs for the crowd.

5. EXT. GIRAFFFE EXHIBIT – DAY
Jessie begins her daily dance routine, but the crowd is only mildly interested. Rita…
