A strong relationship starts with two people who are ready to sacrifice anything for each other. Dor lacking this aspect caused him to make deplorable and regrettable decisions. His encounter with the old man in a draped white robe was kept clandestine from Allie. As per to the book "Dor ran away. He never told anyone about that visit. Not even Alli.
