Since this fictional female is the essential dream girl, it gives women the idea that they have to be skinny in order for men to like them. These Manic Pixie Dream Girls do not represent the average women and sets the wrong idea to the woman who is watching. It makes them feel like they will never be good enough for a man because they are not skinny enough or pretty enough. This is because he finds it to be sexist and set a high standard on women. It is an unrealistic image of what women should be and has gone to far. This would be something that Bordo would agree with. It is not an ideal image and sets standards for women on how they should act. Every women struggles with who they are at some point in their life. The media industry takes advantage of that and it is important to try and change that advantage. It is something that can be solved. Intersectional analysis is something that would help resolve this problem. Since it is hard to tackle one thing at a time, intersectional analysis would come in and help people come to an understanding on these conforming issues for both issues. It is not just one gender that has this problem because the media sets the standard of how both genders should be. With this approach, everyone would benefit with this
