It is believed by many that locker 247 belonged to a boy named Quinton in the 50’s. Quinton was severely bullied and legend has it that he’s been stuffed into his own locker so many times that his spirit still remains in that same locker to this day. Today he’s been nicknamed “The Hall Monitor”. No one knows if the legend is true, but it does explain the mysterious things that happen in the A Hall where the locker’s location is. Quinton doesn’t like bullying, since he’s no stranger in playing the part of the bully’s victim himself. When he witnesses bullying in his hall, he’s not going to sit by and watch it happen like his classmates did. Sudden appearances of bananas to slip on, locker doors that fly open at the most inconvenient times, and malfunctioning water fountains are all examples of the strange things that happen in A Hall.
No one has owned that locker since Quinton, that is until now. Danny has now been assigned locker 247. He’s a new student this school year. Being oblivious to the infamous legend of his new locker, Danny didn’t think anything of it when he first opened it. When the rusted, old hinges creaked loudly, after being opened for the first time in 50 years, the noisy hallway was suddenly quiet and Danny could hear hushed tones coming from around him. He looked over his shoulder to see the students that stood in the hallway

He held it in his hands as he wiped off the webs that covered it with his sleeve. He jumped as he saw what the reflection held. Instead of seeing his own reflection, he saw a boy a bit younger than himself with glasses and hair that was slicked back. Danny also noticed that he was wearing much different clothes than him, almost as if from a different era completely. He blinked hard a few times and the image was gone. All the mirror showed now was his own reflection. “What, man? Spider?”, Danny heard Malcom ask from behind

The first alliteration begins with the letter “D”, and it clearly illustrates to the reader what the day is like. By repeating the same letter, it adds a rhythm, which emphasizes the somber day. Furthermore, many words end with the letter “Y”, which drags the sentence, in order to add suspense to the…
