Despite the gun control controversy being such a complicated issue, there are sensible solutions to each of the problems. These solutions should be made in the areas on mental health in the United States, gun safety requirements, and limitations of gun firepower. To begin solving the problem, the U.S. needs to begin to fund the area of mental health again. In recent years, mental health facilities just have not had the funds to properly execute their jobs. This funding will likely keep the people that do not have control over themselves (for medical reasons) out of the gun equation.
