That very particular tree, which she had been previously occupying, was the dark-haired woman's favorite because it grew at an angle and required very little effort to climb. The branches of the surrounding trees were full enough to shade the area but not to obstruct her view of the camp, making it the perfect area for her to people watch after she had finished her chores. The tree was steep enough that no walker would have had enough balance to climb and covered enough that anyone from the group would have to actively look for her in order to see her, giving her the perfect false sense of security.…

Thelma and Louise, a film by Carolyn Ann Khouri, trails the liberations of two working class women in the 90’s. These women plan a weekend away from the men in their lives due to the fact that Thelma’s husband is a misogynistic man who feels that a woman’s job consists only of housework and cooking. In the first scene of the movie Thelma wants to ask her husband, Darryl, for permission to go on the trip with Louise. He yells at her and she quickly changes the subject. In my opinion, this is one of the most crucial scenes in the entire film because it outlines the sexism and discrimination that these two women will face throughout the course of the movie.…

This movie, directed by Gondry, explores the idea that feelings and emotions are more powerful than memories, and that if we erased all of our memories, we would still possess the feelings and emotions that were created by those memories. The movie was inspired by a male friend of Bismuth who said that he would like to have all memory of his girlfriend erased. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind tells a story about two people, Joel and Clementine, who are in a bad relationship and eventually break up.…
