The documentary Singapore: Biophilic City, explores the development and changes the city of Singapore has undergone to become an innovative biophilic city. The intended audience for this documentary is most likely people who are interested in urban development. In addition, this documentary could also be intended for people interested or studying sustainability. The documentary presented the positive attributes of creating a biophilic city, such as improving the lives of its population through healthy means, a happier community who are engaged in the development of their community, creating a safe and prosperous environment for local animals and creating an aesthetic environment. In addition to a wonderful community, the pleasing effect of the city as encouraged and attracted many foreign investors into creating projects in the cities of Singapore. I liked how he was conscious of costs, because to create a biophilic city would require huge amounts of funding for the development and the up keeping. In addition, he also engaged students into the project and got them involved in their community and connecting with nature. I learned about what it means to build a biophilic city. I also learned that though it might require more effort, it is possible to build or create a biophilic city. Before watching the documentary, I would have thought, it is impossible to implement nature into cities, so it was surprising to realize, it is possible when you think big. I didn’t see any drawbacks in this documentary, and actually quite enjoy the interviews and views of the city. I would recommend this documentary to future students because the documentary is quite inspiring and encourages people to think
