How Does Christopher Boone Behave Logically

Christopher Boone a fifteen year old diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome, believes in thinking logically but does not always behave so. The Merriam Webster Dictionary defines logic as “a proper or reasonable way of thinking about or understanding something”. The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time written by Mark Haddon is about a teenage boy who attempts to unfold the mystery of who killed his neighbor's dog and uncovers other mysteries related to his deceased mother. Christopher's thought process is usually fairly logical but he does not always behave logically. His brain doesn't function like other boys his age, everything he encounters he comprehends and interprets differently. It seems that Christopher's mentality and his behavior is not consequently logical. Everything Christopher's stumbles upon, the processes and interprets differently from other boys his age due to his syndrome, therefore this causes certain complications which make him seem illogical. I have analyzed Christopher on three different situations where I believe he was not behaving logically. These situations include when he hits a police officer and displays that he is not in touch with reality after getting arrested for assaulting a police officer and also basing his days around illogical and biased judgements and analyzing if he can take risks that day according to how many red or yellow cars he encounters, and finally being asked simple questions and responding them illogically. After analyzing Christopher through his behavior and analyzing that he is not logical, I see now he is not just a teenage boy with a syndrome, he has dreams and aspirations too just like all of us, and his aspiration to hopefully become an
