The criminal justice system was developed to help deter criminal intentions and to convict those who do commit crimes. The criminal justice system is made up of different components such as law enforcement, the prosecution and defense teams, the courts, and corrections (Garland, 2015). The criminal justice system is relevant to criminal evidence because in order to proceed through the system evidence must be submitted to bring charges and begin the process to a conviction. Proceedings through the criminal justice system must develop through steps. At first law enforcement, would be called to a crime and eventually, if not immediately, the perpetrator will be arrested. Other law enforcement personnel such as a detective will then begin to collect
