We had half the number of representatives in our convention and all of us had knowledge about what the constitution was and what it implemented; and we still couldn’t get any passed for a long period of time. The representatives in the actual Constitutional Convention had to come up with a totally new system for their country in a short period time and had to start from scratch. They had twice the number of men in one single room who were from all different backgrounds. Also the different men in the convention had extreme views on certain things. People in the South were not going to agree to no slavery. It was their way of life, in their minds it was either slavery or they will kill for it. People in the North were determined to abolish slavery. There were all these strong feelings and they still made a document that would set our nation for the future and allow it to sustain time.The individuals in the convention we conducted in Honor U.S. didn’t have those strong views, we just played the part and it was still so hard to pass laws; imagine what it must’ve been like in the actual convention. It’s amazing how a group of men went into a building for a couple of days and constructed the constitution in such a short duration of
