In the essay “The Closing Of The American Mind” by George F. Will explains several universities banning students censorship of people’s certain viewpoints that they may have. Also by wasting students tuition money and wasting their time as well for them to get a better education for themselves by not being able to express their own valid opinions or ideas. Will mentions that administrators are making students mind their manners with good manners understood as conformity to liberal politics. He has in fact noted for liberal censorship are sensitivity about diversity and multiculturalism as academic liberals. The University of Oklahoma that Will mention are banning resources such as e-mail to avoid the forwarding of political humor/commentary. Rhode Island College is prohibiting certain attitudes. How Texas Southern University verbal harm from damaging assumptions or implications. Texas A&M banning freedom from indignity of any type and in fact by also on patronizing remarks. Drexel University on getting rid of inappropriately directed laughter. Michigan University on banning sexism and perceptions of any kind. Also by explaining these reasons to the students so that whatever is causing this mess can be solved in the right matter. Ultimately I think it should've been more reasonable fix with different circumstances by making plans before they decide to do this. Particularly this situation that is happening to the universities has so many rights taken away such as “the forwarding of political humor/commentary, banning of the internet, certain attitudes, verbal harm from damaging assumptions or implications, freedom from indignity of any type, inappropriately directed laughter, sexism, perceptions, and free speech
