My essay is on “The Cask of Amontillado” by Edgar Allen Poe. It's about the character Montresor who embarks on a mission of vengeance against an enemy, aka Fortunato, who crosses the line with an insult. Montresor lures him deep into his family catacombs with promises a very rare 'amontillado'. Which is a type of wine. Fortunato, a wine connoisseur follows his friend only to meet his death. Montresor reveals how vengeful and unforgiving he his. He shows how he wants to kill Fortunato without revealing what he's really done. In conclusion this shows how horrible of a person Montresor is.
