Saturday afternoon our group of three got together. Elena and I haven’t seen Joslyn since she moved last year. But now that she decided to come back home for the summer, we have lots of time with her to catch up on each other’s lives. So I drove us to the park to have a picnic, just like we have always done before. When we got there, we sat down under the same tree we always do. We set out the blanket on the warm, luscious grass and began eating the sweet grapes. While we were eating, Joslyn started the conversation.
“So, Elena, I hear you have a boyfriend. Tell me about him! What is he like?” Joslyn asks curiously with a smirk on her face.
Oh boy, here we go again. I spend a lot of time with Elena, unlike Joslyn. The things Elena is about to tell her, I have already heard about a hundred times before.
“You guys, Andrew is so amazing. Whenever we are together, he is so sweet. He is such a gentlemen and always opens doors for me. He always manages to make me laugh and puts a smile on my face. Oh! And he gives me a bunch of thoughtful compliments,” Elena explains, acting all giddy. “And, he is very attractive,” she says with a smirk.
Focusing on every word Elena says, Joslyn enthusiastically adds, “Oh my gosh Elena, I’m so happy for you! You really deserve to be with a great guy. I want to meet him sometime.”
