Her style of writing is very random to me and makes you get a little confused into her thoughts. In her other novel that I previously read, “Ms. Dalloway”, Woolf uses third person in her style of stream of consciousness. She does not use the normal traditional story telling type of writing. Woolf was more worried about what kind of an impression the events made on a character. The characters would go through flashbacks in her writing to tell the story then come back to reality as if she wrote down what she was thinking as it came across her mind then went back to it. I had to read Woolf’s other novels to complete this essay to get the full concept of her style of stream of consciousness. In the novel “Mrs. Dalloway”, she uses Mrs. Dalloway’s inner feelings and also flashbacks as I stated earlier to make her go in the past and also present. As stated in the Norton “Mrs. Dalloway looks deep within the consciousness of a middle-aged woman planning an event party..”(Norton 2155). This gave us some light on the character in this story as we knew that it was dealing with thoughts, emotions, and feelings as Woolf likes to
