When I Learned to Read and Write.
I first started reading and writing in preschool, my teacher was very helpful and did everything she could do to help me achieve goals, and become who I am today. When I was younger I would pretend that I could read and I would read to all of my toys. In preschool, my teacher saw me trying to read so she came over to me and started to help me sound out the words and form the sentences so that I could read. The first book I read was Dr.Seuss’ “Green, Eggs and Ham.” It soon became my favorite book because it was the only book I could read. After I read my first book I then started to try and read chapter books, I had struggled a little because it was my first real book, my first book was Junie B. Jones. I had then started to read more and even began to write because, I wanted to be just like the older kids. Sooner than later, I realized I loved to write and wasn’t so bad at it. As I progressed through school, my reading improved and was higher than where I should have been. I’ve always loved reading, something about it is just so comforting and soothing.
I like reading just about anything but some of my favorites would be the Divergent series, To Kill a Mockingbird, and anything written by John Green, I know how cliché. I’ve always loved reading, something about it is just so comforting and soothing. Reading just allows me to shut everything around me out and focus on the main points of the book and catch details.
