Rain drops heavily, clouds are gathering, winds are blowing. The first night when the Starks had set foot in Maycomb, the weather frightened the young girl. Surely, she does miss her home country. She came from a far land, green as jade, but separated from it’s another half. Her name is Visenya. She is 16 years old, migrated with her parents to Maycomb. Her parent’s names are Robert and Olenna Stark. They originate from the Northern Irish capital, Belfast. The rain slightly stooped and the Starks had arrived at their new home. Thus, Visenya started giving her first impression towards Maycomb.

Visenya:

“I suppose we shall call this home.”

How are they involved? Please tell me Visenya”

Visenya breathed heavily and told him everything:

“Mrs. Dubose admitted that she had been associated with the Ewells about planning an attempt of kidnapping your children, which it resulted with a failure. I’m sure that she wanted to repay your debts for Tom by hurting your precious little ones.”

Atticus’s face turned red and he responded with fear:

“Those trashy people, they wanted to hurt me indirectly. And they specifically planned to hurt my children…… They will pay for their crimes! I swear it by the gods that I will bring them back to justice!”

Atticus had an absolute shock after hearing this dreadful news, and he decided to bring up a case against Mrs. Dubose, and he claimed that justice will solve this matter. Atticus planned to pick up the witnesses and use them as an evidence against Mrs. Dubose. He and the two Starks stood in the courtroom waiting for the trial to begin. Atticus wanted Mrs. Dubose to stand up and to confess her crimes against this town. He blamed her for the failed kidnapping attempt on his children, along with the Ewells association. The judge demanded a further Investigation, cooperating with the police. Thus, they have questioned many neighbors who were in the previous grumpy tea party that was held in Mrs. Dubose’s house. Bob Ewell on the other hand, was questioned. Investigation results pointed that Mrs. Dubose is guilty along with the Ewells. They are encountering a massive punishment regarding their actions. Moreover, Atticus was satisfied that his children are going to be safe, and he thanked the Starks for their honesty, and he invited them for a lovely dinner, as well as having a momentous conversation with

In this journal I will be predicting the case verdict in pages 208- 281. The first thing that I predict is that the Ewell’s will lose this case. For instance I think they will lose is because Atticus got evidence from when Mr. Ewell is on the stand he is left-handed. I infer form this evidence that he beat up Mayella because people who are left-handed beat up the right side of someone. I think her dad raped her because when he was on the stand from the text of the book it seemed as if he knew exactly what happened.…

To Kill a Mockingbird, written by Harper Lee has many significant themes. There are uplifting Biblical themes in the book that can help us in our spiritual walk with God. When people are categorized as superior or inferior because of their skin tone it can become problematic. For example, in 1954 multiple states had laws to secure the divide between whites and blacks. They attended different schools, churches, and restrooms. Whites were seen as superior and were the first priority while blacks were poorly treated and uncared for. The different treatment of both races created tension.…

The children thought Mrs. Dubose was incredibly rude, and they did not want to walk past her house because they “would be raked by her wrathful gaze, subjected to ruthless interrogation regarding our behavior, and given a melancholy prediction on what we would amount to when we grew up, which was always nothing” (Lee 132). Mrs. Dubose judged the children, made rude remarks, and seemed completely heartless. She often insulted Scout for unlady like behavior, and she insulted Atticus, Scout and Jem’s father, for defending and supporting African Americans. It was not until Atticus forced Scout and Jem to read to Mrs. Dubose every day that the children learned Mrs. Dubose was a morphine addict who was trying to get clean before she died.…

Dubose in Harper Lee’s To Kill A Mockingbird teaches readers that no matter what brings them down, standing up for one another could make a whole society respect one another. Being truly empathetic often takes a lot of determination, patience, and courage. People like Atticus supported less fortunate people like Tom Robinson and Mrs. Dubose, during times they were treated harshly. However, no matter how many times their reputation was stabbed, they continued to endure their beliefs.…
