It feels like I’ve been in this institution for five years now, it really has, even though it was really a couple months. The place is filled with phony’s and I wanted to get the hell out of this goddam place. Anyway, I was reading this book old D.B. gave me when he visited me last Saturday. It was pretty good. It was called I, Robot by Isaac Asimov. I would tell you what’s it about but I didn’t feel like it. I didn’t feel like anything in here. They had a lot of people in here trying to help you and all, but it didn’t work for me. The only time I felt happy was when old Phoebe visited me. The last time she was here, she told me about the play and how great it was. I wasn’t there sadly, but she told me all about it in very nice detail. That …show more content…
I didn’t care though. “Jane!” I said. “What are you doing here?” I was excited like a madman. She looked different, different in a good way. She was also wearing my red hunting hat.
“Visiting you of course! It’s so good to see you.” She came up to me and hugged me. It was just like the old times.
“Phoebe called, she told me you were here and needed someone to talk to.” She said. “She also gave me this hat to give to you, she said it was important.” She handed me the hat. I forgot to tell you that I gave my hunting hat back to old Phoebe after the carrousels. It still felt the same the last time I had it.
“Jane. I don’t know what to say. I wanted to call you but I – “
“It’s okay. I heard what’ve you been through. Phoebe told me.” We both sat down. She looked all grown up. She still had the same nice figure the last time I remembered.
I couldn’t hide my smile. She saw it too. “Jane, I want to tell you how I feel.” I said to her. She smiled back. This was goddam difficult.
