Many people face challenges within their lives, but the challenges Harry Potter has to face are much greater than most of ours. The beginning talked about how Harry Potter grew up in a place that he grew to hate. Living with your aunt, and uncle, would usually sound fun and exciting, but for Harry hated them. It’s hard to grow up and be with people who hate you, but to not know your parents at all as well, is very hard to take. Harry grew up with abusive guardians who told him nothing about his past. This means that if we choose to do good we will be good, but if we choose to be bad then we will be bad. Harry Potter reminds me of Percy Jackson because they both have very dangerous things headed for them, and horrible people they have to destroy. They both have two other friends, a male and a female, and they both have magic involved with their stories. This theme was used throughout the book, such as in the sorting he was sorted into Gryffindor because he wanted to be good, and didn’t want to leave his
