The False Prophet

Trumpets (trump) are inseparably linked to the time period when the Antichrist shortly rules before the return of the Lord. The voice of God Himself sounds like the voice of a trumpet. When the apostle John was on the Isle of Patmos, he heard from the Lord Jesus Christ, “I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and I heard behind me a loud voice like the sound of a trumpet.” (Rev. 1:10). The book of Revelation presents three sets of seven judgments the Lord will bring about in the time just prior His return. The middle set of the three sevens is the trumpet judgments; each judgment proceeded by a trumpet blast. The trumpet is associated with the Lord’s “Day of Wrath” (Zephaniah 1:15-17). One of the greatest trumpet calls will announce the rapture …show more content…
The website, “House of Names”, gives the etymology of surnames, including info on their family crest, etc. The submission under the name, Pence, says, “The surname Pence is a toponymic surname which describes where the original bearer held land.” The difficulty trying to identify the False Prophet is the lack of biblical information to make that determination until he steps into the fullness of his role as the False Prophet, at which point, he will throw unwavering support behind the Antichrist; accompanied with seemingly super-natural powers. In response, the whole world at that time will worship him (Rev. 13:13). Could Pence be the False Prophet? He could be, but not necessarily. Another could arrive at a later point to fill that role. It is also a possibility that Mike Pence is a man to minister to Donald Trump, thus fulfilling the meaning of Trump’s middle name (John) — which means — …show more content…
I believe the final ascendancy of the Antichrist — as the leader of the world — will come in conjunction with the rapture of the church. Will the world hear the sound of the trumpet as millions of Christians suddenly vanish in the rapture (the last Trump)? Might the False Prophet suddenly appear with signs and wonders, proclaiming that the sound of this trumpet is heralding a New Age with Trump as its Prince? We cannot be certain about the timing of end-times events, but be assured, Satan will manipulate these events to suit his agenda — even as Donald Trump does today — of empowering and enriching the Man of Deception (the

Prophetic Jesus, Prophetic Church is a book written by Thomas Johnson. Johnson wrote this book to challenge taking the Luke-Acts Christianity into contemporary Christianity. The challenge is that the church would have an ear to hear its prophetic calling. The overall purpose of the book is to offer a scriptural foundation for the ministry of the church so that it is grounded and coherent in the ministry of Jesus. Johnson argues that Luke and Acts, presents Jesus and the apostles in terms of prophecy.…

The Shawnee Prophet by R. David Edmund is a book to tell the story of Tenskwatawa’s life and the way he believed he was leading his people, the Shawnee. Edmund researched a lot about the Shawnee people and why the Shawnee Prophet was the leading figure. I think one of the main themes from this book is the importance of Tenskwatawa and Tecumseh to the Shawnee people. Tenskwatawa, formally known as Lalawethika was a drunk until he was in a coma and when he woke up he believed he seen a vision. And the Shawnees viewed him as a prophet.…

If one were to ask a practicing Christian what a prophet is, there is no doubt that most would be able to formulate some type of definition. However, many people’s thoughts on what a prophet is are often incomplete or even incorrect. While there are many places one could look to find an adequate definition of a prophet, Abraham Heschel provides an analysis of prophets unlike any other. Heschel’s analysis goes into great detail about what a prophet is, and what a prophet is not.…

Muhammad divided the Muslims from Mecca by breaking up tribes as well as families and criticizing old polytheistic traditions. While bringing together his new community, Muhammad ended up breaking up tribes and turned families against each other. Muhammad’s journey to Medina signaled not only his escape from a dangerous Mecca, but also the further establishment of the Islamic community. This journey, known as the Hijrah, forced those who were loyal to Muhammad to leave their families and friends in Mecca. Furthermore, those who made the journey would be seen as traitors and would no longer be under the protection of their tribe.…

The most shocking thing is the public’s reaction to Trump’s unethical behavior. Most people do not seem to care and his supporters seem to rather enjoy it. We have now entered the end of the postmodern age where truth is replaced with emotion. If something so small as a criticism of one’s hands or fingers can send Trump into a never-ending obsessive tirade, what would happen if genuine Christians throughout the world went on a relentless campaign targeting Donald Trump as Satan incarnate?…

Many Americans let their fear of terrorism blind them, resulting in accusations against innocent Muslims who actually have no part in terrorist activities. “The Imam’s Curse” tells the story of a Muslim family in Miami who were arrested for allegedly sending money to the Taliban. The author, Evan Osnos, writing for the New Yorker magazine, maintains that this was a great miscarriage of justice, where the F.B.I. fabricated evidence and did not possess a strong case against the family. I agree that the imprisonment of Hafiz Khan and multiple family members was not just, and there was a lack of sufficient evidence to convict Mr. Khan. American fear of terrorism victimizes Muslims who migrate to the United states for a better life and end up being…

The word ‘soon’ can imply that things will come, whether it comes quickly or with delay. The bible has already predicted events that have happened, and the book of Revelation prepares us for what has not yet started. The troubles with prophecies is that they tend to speak as if the end is ready to happen, however, it does not reveal when. Because of this, people are unaware of when these things could happen and may not be prepared. As described, the angel did not reveal these things to John in a simple way.…

The office of the Presidency of the United States of America has always been, and will most likely continue to be, a reflection of what this great nation wants its leader to be in 2016. A short analogy: Consider that in 2008, the United States was reeling from the presidency of George W. Bush, a man with feigned a southern drawl and “down home” naiveté in order to set the USA on a course with disaster.…
