It’s been a few years since I composed a Christmas letter because final grading always trumped my desire to celebrate the season and keep touch with friends and family. So, let’s catch up!
As most of you know, I love mountains, creeks, moonlight (perhaps moonshine), walks in the woods, and bonfires. Additionally, I really dislike snow & ice, frigid temps, gray skies, and prairie winds. Due to this fact, Chris and I spent many years discussing possible locations to relocate to and Tennessee always made the top five. We discussed the timing of the move and decided we would stay in Norwood Young America until Wyatt graduated. WELL, God laughs when humans plan!

It is such a beautiful place to live. Of course, the beautiful Smokey Mountains are only a short drive, but we also have the Cumberland Plateau area, countless caves (which you can zip line, go white water rafting, or even listen to a concert in), waterfalls, rivers, and creeks. It is amazing to live in an area with so much history and culture, such as the past civil war battle sites that are right on my daily commute. And, lastly, the music, that truly makes living here a “Dixie land delight!” Silent Night has always been my favorite Christmas song, but Alabama’s version of a “Tender Tennessee Christmas” is quickly becoming my contemporary …show more content…
